Shenoa Diamonds, which sells engagement rings over the Internet, has reported a new trend among the military: Military men are proposing marriage over the Internet these days and shipping engagement rings in the mail to their fiancees.
Scott Cowan, Shenoa's Chief Operating Officer, notes that many of the men proposing marriage over the web grew up using the Internet, so proposing marriage this way is not all that extreme. And this way they don't need to postpone their engagement until they get home.
Cowan adds: “The military men ship the ring directly to their girlfriends. They propose right over the Internet. Imagine getting an engagement ring in the mail!”
